I am at my last year at McGill,
Majoring in Psychology and Minoring in Economics. I am interested in
Language and related learning processes in the acquisition of new
words. I like any type of work that involves kids because working with
children is never boring. I am currently very dedicated to my work with
adolescents with learning disabilities and enjoy it thoroughly. I would
like to pursue further study in Psychology and in the future, devote
more time to working within a hospital setting. When I'm not working or
studying, I spend my time reading or having fun with friends and family. |

My
name is Erica and
I am a U3 student from Montreal. I am studying linguistics and
psychology in the hopes of becoming a speech language psychologist. I
really like working with children and spend lots of time volunteering
with them. My research interests includes examining the effects of
delayed linguistic input. When I am in not in class or at the lab, I
enjoy reading and going to movies as well as spending time with my
friends. |

I
am in my fourth
year at McGill, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Religious
Studies. I have been in the lab since May, and although I plan to
pursue my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, the research perspective in
this lab has won my over. I hope to be able to make important research
contributions to the field, with the goal of applying my knowledge in a
clinical setting. Outside the lab, my interests include planning a trip
to India and reading classic works of fiction. |
|
I
am in my 3rd year
at McGill doing my major in Honours Psychology and my minor in
sociology. Right now, my research project in this lab involves lexical
acces and memory consolidation. My main interests concern
neuropsychology, psychopathology and child development. In the future I
hope to get my Ph.D. in psychology and work in a hospital setting. In
my free time, I enjoy swimming, travelling and spending time with my
friends. |

Having
recently
completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Linguistics at McGill,
I am proud to have been the MIDC lab coordinator since May 2006. My
non-professional interests include relaxing and sleeping. |
|
I
arrived in Canada
one year ago. I did my undergraduate studies in Brazil. I have an
eight-year experience working with children and teenagers in private
clinic, performing psychological assessment and psychotherapy. I also
worked in a center of elderly care performing neuropsychological
assessment to patients with cognitive deficits. I'm interested in
cognitive development and impairments. I intend to go for graduate
studies in the coming years. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending
time with my family, reading, watching movies and cooking. |

I
am currently in my
3rd year at Mcgill, majoring in Psychology and minoring
in Literature and Behavioural Science. I came to Mcgill, from Vancouver,
unsure of what I wanted to study but now I am sure that Psychology is
where
I want to be, but I'm still trying to narrow down my specific
interests. I
just know that whatever I want to do I want to improve the quailty of
life
for people. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, busting a
move on
the dance floor and sitting down with a good book. |
|
I
came to McGill two
years ago from Coventry, England. I am now in my third and final year,
and shall soon be waving goodbye to Montreal, before heading out to
explore the Western side of Canada. After obtaining my B.A. in
Psychology, I hope to attend graduate school, where I’d like
to study Industrial-Organizational Psychology. In the little free time
I have where I don’t have to hit the books, I enjoy having
coffee or going for dinner with friends, and visiting my family out in
the Canadian countryside. |

I
majored in
psychology and English literature, 2 very different majors that I loved
doing together. I finished my bachelor's degree in December 2005 and
since then I've spent my time as a tutor and research assistant before
applying to graduate school in clinical psychology. I love working with
kids, especially helping them learn. In the future, I hope to have a
career that combines practice, research and teaching. In my free time I
love to read, see movies and spend time with friends and family. |
|
I
grew up in Alberta
but came to Montreal for my studies. I have just
finished my B.Sc in Psychology at McGill. I like working in the lab and
find
the challenges of research stimulating. I enjoy synchronized swimming,
and
swam on the McGill team. My other passions include reading and baking. |

I
am currently in my
third and last year of my bachelor in psychology, and I am really
interested in the cognitive and language development of children. I
have had the chance to explore some aspects of language learning in
adults and I am hoping to compare it to that of infants in the near
future. I am planning on going to graduate school in the coming years;
I would like to be able to bring knowledge in the area of developmental
psychology. |

I
am a U3 student
doing a Major in Psychology, a Minor in Sociology and a Minor in
Behavioural Science. I’ve always been interested in
Psychology, and I am particularly interested in eating disorders.
I’ve chosen to work in this lab because I think that in order
to understand who we are as adults, we need first to understand who we
were as children. Language development (comprehension and acquisition)
is a domain that interests me a lot and the lab offers me the
opportunity to conduct my own research on that topic. I hope to get as
much research experience as possible in order to do my Ph. D. eiher in
clinical or experimental Psychology. I am also very interested in
health in general; nutrition and physical training are two domains I
would like to know more about. By the way, I am Francophone and not so
proud of my accent! That’s why I may look shy, but
don’t hesitate to talk to me. See you! |

I
began my studies
in psychology at McGill a year ago. My primary interests are child
development and cognition. I had always loved children and my principal
goal is to achieve situation that would allow me to help children who
are in need, either directly or indirectly. Beside psychology, I love
to do horseback riding and am interested in ethology equitation. |
|
I'm
a grad student
at UBC hanging out at the MIDC for a few months. My interests include
perceptual and cultural development in children, and the studies I am
running here are looking at cognitive biases in statistical word
learning in adults and infants. |

I
graduated from
McGill in 2006 with my Bachelor of Science. I majored in Physiology but
toward the end of my degree I began taking great interest in child
development, language acquisition and speech disorders. I decided that
I was going to continue on and get a second degree in Psychology with a
Minor in Linguistics. I am currently in my last year and am hoping to
apply to Speech Therapy in the near future. During my precious but
limited free time, I enjoy the company of those closest to me,
especially if it involves good food! |
|
I'm
Veronica and I
was born and raised in Montreal. I just completed my second
year here at McGill, majoring in psychology and minoring in politics,
law, and society. Childhood is a period of such rapid
cognitive development that it is simply fascinating to study
such complex processes as they are unraveling. Eventually I
would like to pursue doctoral studies in the domain of clinical
psychology. In my spare time I enjoy cheesy horror flicks,
concerts, and sports such as rugby and ice hockey. |

I
am currently
pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology and a double
minor in behavioural science and sociology. In addition to my studies,
I am currently serving as a research assistant in Victoria Talwar's
child development lab. Recently, I completed an independent research
project under Dr. Talwar's and Dr. Onishi’s supervision. In
addition to researching areas of child development I have conducted
research within the areas of commercial brand perceptions and
multidimensional scaling. |
|
I
have a bachelor in
psychology and a minor in behavioral science and history. I am very
interested in child psychology, more specifically language acquisition
and psychopathology. In the future I would like to pursue my PhD and
devote myself to helping children in need. I would also like to take
some time off to travel, since I haven't had the chance to do so. |

I’m
an
international student from Japan and am currently in my 4th year,
majoring in psychology and minoring in linguistics. Throughout my
studies at McGill, I’ve been interested in how we perceive,
learn and process language. More recently, I’ve gotten
interested in relationships between language and other areas of
cognition. I’m hoping to do my graduate studies in
experimental psychology using my knowledge of Japanese to contribute to
the field. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and watching
movies. |

This
psychology
major is interested in cognition in all of its splendor but
particularly the fields of child development and music
cognition. She holds the secret dream of combining these two
interests and researching them. For now, she greatly
appreciates the research experience that the lab is providing her
with. During her spare time, she enjoys the beauty that the
world of indie-alternative rock music has to offer and practices the
very few riffs she can play on her guitar. |
