I'm
a 4th year psychology major originally from BC. This year I am working
on a
research project that looks at whether learnt phonotactic regularities
give
infants an advantage on their word recognition abilities. Besides the
lab and
school I do try to have a life. My interests include eating, watching
selective
reality tv shows (amazing race),lying on the beach and playing
intramural
volleyball. |
|
I'm
currently in my last year at McGill University, double majoring in
Psychology and French and minoring in Anthropology. Originally
from New
Jersey, my academic interests include language, child development, and
primate
behavior (who doesn't love monkeys?). I hope to get a graduate
degree in
psychology in the near future and work with children. I like
walking up Mount
Royal with my dog, listening to people speak French, and I must admit I
have a
weakness for the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. |

I
am a third year undergrad in McGill Psychology performing my honours
research project in the MIDC. I am also pursuing a minor in linguistics
and I plan to study speech language pathology in grad school. I love
working with kids and I especially can't get enough of babies! I am a
huge sports fan; I play lacrosse for McGill, ski downhill in the winter
and I ran my first long distance race this fall. |
|
I
just finished my second year at McGill, majoring in Honours Psychology
and minoring in Sociology. My interests include language and cognitive
development. I especially like working with kids and would love to
eventually be involved in conducting research on autism and working
with autistic children. In my spare time I like jogging, playing tennis
and most of all spending time with my friends. |

I
am currently in my fourth year at McGill pursuing a major in
psychology. My interests include child and adolescent development, as
well as youth at risk. In the future I hope to work with troubled teens
after I travel the world and attend grad school studying counselling
psychology. I am originally from Vancouver, BC and love dancing,
snowboarding and Janet Jackson. |
|
I
am beginning my third year at McGill, majoring in Honours psychology
with a minor in Religious Studies. I grew up in Ottawa and decided to
come live in Montreal because I consider myself to be a big city girl.
I am particularly interested in the fields of child development and
health psychology. I plan to pursues graduate studies and hopefully
teach at the university level while doing research. During my spare
time, I like to watch TV, attend dance and aerobics classes, as well as
find new and interesting places in the city to explore. |

I
am originally from Munich and just finished my second year at McGill,
majoring in Honours Psychology and minoring in East Asian Studies. My
main interests within the field include social and health psychology
and I am seeking to pursue graduate studies in research psychology. The
little free time I have I try to spend either travelling whenever
larger chunks of free time are available or reading and being creative
(in any sort of way) during the semester. |
|
I'm
in my second year at McGill, majoring in Honours Psychology. I grew up
in the Laurentians and am a small-town girl at heart. I love the
outdoors, skiing in the winter and hiking and camping in the warmer
months. I'm looking forward to taking some time off to travel to as
many destinations as time and money will allow. |

I’m a U2 student at McGill, my Major is Psychology, my Minor is
Religious Studies (I would have liked to do a double major, but
c’est la vie). I love children. If my plans to go to grad
school are not realized, I’ve decided to open a day care center.
I’m still debating if I would like to go into clinical or
research psychology. Besides school, I love to dance, any type of
dance. Art is also a hobby of mine. Drawing, painting, sculpting, you
name it. I like to read during my commuting time to wind down from
school. Currently, I’m working on Pride and Prejudice. Originally
from the West Island, I’m finding downtown Montreal to be a
lovely area. |

In
May of 2005, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Education (kindergarten
and elementary). I am presently taking additional courses in order to
apply to graduate school. My future ambitions: obtain a master's in
Speech Pathology, where I could share my passion of communicating with
children. In my spare time: I like to write and illustrate children's
books. |

In
my second year at McGill, I am studying cognitive science and minoring
in anthropology. I love to work with children and adults with
developmental disabilities, and in the future I hope to study how
creativity is related to specific cognitive and brain
functions. Also, I am interested in how members of a culture
perceive and respond to the changing world around them with regards to
environment and technology, especially old order Mennonites and Inuit.
I grew up in Elmira, Ontario, and I enjoy dreaming, dancing and writing
children's poetry. |

This
semester marks my third year at McGill as a double major in Religious
Studies and Psychology. I'm very interested in finding parallels
between the two disciplines since I've already found that they ask
similiar questions. Originally from Boston, I'm loving Montreal and all
its energy. On any day this year, you can find me investigating
neonatal speech bias, reading about Tibetan Buddhism, or doing
photography (check out the Green Room or Blue Dog for my recent work). |

I'm
in my third year at McGill majoring in Honours Psychology and double
minoring in Neuroscience and Linguistics. When I'm not working on my
thesis research in the lab you can find me at spin class, running on
Mont-Royal, or just dancing around my apartment. I also enjoy singing,
writing, reading and contemplating life with my friends. In the summers
I head home to Edmonton and my incurable habit of line dancing. |

I'm
in my third year at McGill, majoring in Psychology and minoring in
Neuroscience and World Religions. I plan on getting my PhD in either
counseling
or clinical psychology; my area of interest is in developmental
psychopathology;
however any setting where I can be a help to children will do. During
my free
time I like to train my puppy, write poetry, read, bake, watch movies,
and
spend time with my friends and family. Sometime in the future, I plan on
touring the Mediterranean, where I can enjoy the sea, sun, and
historical
sites. |

A
Montrealer born and raised, I graduated from McGill in December 2003
with a BSc in psychology. My primary interests lie in the fields of
language and social cognition and I am especially fascinated by studies
involving the deaf and sign language. In addition to enjoying quirky
books and movies, I am also an avid photographer, never happier than
when looking through my camera's lens or printing in the darkroom. |

Hi,
my name is Amanda and I’m born and raised in Montreal. I’m
in my final year in Psychology. I really love the program and hope next
year to pursue my goals and go to graduate school in speech language
pathology. I really love working with kids and I’m fascinated
with their cognitive and language development. My interests outside of
school involve playing tennis, reading and plenty of shopping!! |

I
am in my fourth and final year here at McGill, majoring in Psychology
with a double minor in Behavioral Science and Sociology. My primary
interests are in the areas of child development and clinical
psychology. I am originally from small town Vermont, and it amazes me
that four years later I feel like I'm just beginning to understand
Montreal. When
I'm not in the lab, I may be out exploring the city, spending time with
friends, or staying in to read or watching movies. |
|
I
am a second year student at McGill, majoring in psychology. I grew up
in a town outside of Montreal, called Two-Mountains. I have been
working with kids since I was 14 years old and hope to continue doing
so for a long time. When I’m not doing something McGill related,
you could probably find me at the gym, or hanging out with the people I
love. |

My
name is Patricia Brosseau-Liard and I am a U3 psychology student
currently
working on a honours research project in this lab. Developmental
psychology is
by far the area of psychology that most appeals to me; within that
field, I
find pretty much everything interesting, from language acquisition and
social
cognition to moral development, including learning disabilities and
individual
differences. Born and raised in Montreal, I am and will always be a
dance
fanatic, and my dream would be to travel around the world; apart from
that,
chilling with friends in a cafe is my idea of a "nice day". |
|
I’m
starting my U2 year majoring in Psychology this fall and will be
working on my Honours Research Project in the MIDC lab. I plan on
pursuing graduate studies in child psychology after I finish my B.Sc.
here at McGill. I love children and hope to one day have the
opportunity to work with them on a daily basis, whether through
research, clinical intervention or in a school environment. |
