Research Summary

Dr. Pleszewski, based at the Douglas Hospital (Institute), works within the Diagnostic and Crisis Intervention Team. In the past (while in Poland and Germany), he developed his research interests  around stress mechanisms, pain, psychosomatic aspects of the coronary heart disease and (while in Canada) the immunocompetence in the depressed patients. His recent focus is on the particularities of abusive behaviour and its perception.

He also studies and teaches on the modern psychology in the historical perspective.
