Assistant
Professor Position in Behavioural Neuroscience of
Neurodevelopmental Disorders
The Department of Psychology of McGill University invites
applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant
Professor level in Behavioural Neuroscience. We are interested
in applicants studying neurodevelopmental processes and
disorders in animal models using any of a variety of modern
techniques including molecular genetics, electrophysiology,
in vivo imaging, and / or optogenetics. Applicants are expected
to have a doctorate in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely
related field at the time of appointment. Applicants should
present evidence of research productivity and the potential to
obtain external funding. All applicants are expected to have an
aptitude for undergraduate and graduate teaching. The Department
has excellent facilities for interdisciplinary research,
including through its links with related academic departments
and research units in the McGill University Health Centre and
the Montreal Neurological Institute. This position
will start in September 2013.

suitable candidates have been identified. Candidates should

and academic goals, a description of their teaching interests,
