Research Summary

Dr. Rosberger’s is the Director of the Psychosocial Oncology Program in the Department of Oncology. Research interests revolve around coping, communication, and risk information transmission in several populations and points along the cancer trajectory. Previous research has included randomized trials of a coping skills training intervention for breast, colon and other cancer patients and long term psychosocial outcomes (six and ten years follow-up). At present, he leads a number of funded research projects in Psychosocial Oncology. These include: Psychosocial impact of infertility in men receiving chemotherapy for testicular and lymphatic cancers; Impact of elevated genetic risk of cancer in the Ashkenazi Jewish Community; the role of knowledge and intentions in uptake of HPV screening for cervical cancer.
