Music Cognition (3 credits)
(Prerequisities: PSYC
212, PSYC 213, PSYC 204 (or equivalent)) Interdisciplinary study of
music cognition and perception, with an emphasis on cognitive and
experimental approaches. Topics include: psychoacoustics, music
memory, tonality, neuropsychology of music, performance, talent and
expertise, and developmental aspects.

topics in the interdisciplinary study of music cognition and
perception, with an emphasis on cognitive psychologicla and
experimental approaches. Topics include: psychoacoustics, music
memory, scales, tonality, neuropsychology of music, performance,
talent and expertise, absolute pitch, expectation, melody and
rhythm.
