Seminar in Experimental Psychology (3 credits)

 

(Restriction: For U3 students only.) (2 lectures) (Prerequisite: PSYC 305 or equivalent.) (Note: Students will be admitted based on written application. Forms available from the Department (Room N7/9). Applications must be submitted by August 1st) Design of experiments in psychopathology, interviewing techniques and clinical diagnosis.

Content:  Students will design clinical research studies, and be exposed to interviewing techniques and diagnosis using structured interviews.  Students will also consider scientific and first-hand accounts of psychological disorders and debate controversial topics in clinical psychology.
