Laboratory in Human Perception  (3 credits)

(Not offered in 2011-2012)

 

(1 hour lecture plus 3 hour lab) (Prerequisites: PSYC 212, U2 level or above. Requires departmental approval.) (Students will be admitted on the basis of a written application on forms available from the Department (Room N7/9). Applications must be submitted by August 15)


Students will be introduced to standard psychophysical procedures and data analysis techniques, and will have the opportunity to design and carry out their own experiments. Research topics include: visual acuity, form and motion perception, and visual search. Evaluation based on individually written reports on lab experiments.
